dinaS BEACH 11‘Music knows no boundaries. It directly bridges the gap between people’s hearts.’ Daisaku Ikeda

Music springs from the heart and speaks to the hearts of others, it is an eloquent language capable of expressing the wonder, beauty and preciousness of life, it can awaken hope and create bridges of peace. I keep these thoughts in my heart as I compose music - it is my desire to direct my musical work towards areas in which it can contribute to the happiness of the peoples of the world, and to the protection of our shared environment ‘planet earth’.

I currently work in ‘media music’, writing music for television and film - media is a powerful tool for communication, and touches the lives of many in our global community, used with wisdom it can enlighten and inspire, bringing to the minds and hearts of many, new awareness’ and respect for our beautiful, precious world and its wonderful diversity of life.

In composition I use a broad palette of instruments for works ranging from small and intimate in scale, perhaps piano or solo flutes of various ethnic origins, to larger scale orchestral and ‘synth’ works - often I weave these elements together. My musical influences are broad ranging, and embrace western classical music, jazz and world music. I seek to express the heart/mind and to move the heart/mind of others.

I am actively seeking to work with projects which engender respect for life and the environment. If you read this and have a media project in mind, or know of someone who may like to consider my work to support their project I would love to hear from you.

I leave you with these inspiring words from Daisaku Ikeda

‘the universe itself is a symphony of life, a chorale sung by all beings and phenomena’.
